When Disaster Strikes, We're Here

Central Virginia storms can strike fast and hard, leaving fallen trees, damaged property, and dangerous situations in their wake. When you need help now - not next week - Myers Tree Service provides rapid emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Emergency Situations We Handle

Trees on Structures

Trees fallen on homes, garages, sheds, fences, or other structures require careful removal to prevent additional damage. We work with your insurance company to document and safely remove trees from structures.

Blocked Access

Trees blocking driveways, roads, or walkways need immediate attention. We clear access quickly so you can get in and out of your property safely.

Storm Damage Cleanup

After major storms, we help clear debris, remove damaged trees, and make your property safe again. We prioritize hazardous situations while working through our queue.

Hazardous Trees

Trees that are leaning dangerously, have cracked trunks, or have exposed roots after storms can fall at any moment. Don't wait - these situations require immediate attention.

Hanging Limbs

Large limbs caught in the canopy (widow makers) or hanging over structures pose serious risks. We safely remove dangerous limbs before they fall.

Trees on Vehicles

We carefully remove trees from cars, trucks, and other vehicles, coordinating with your insurance and documenting damage for claims.

What to Do in a Tree Emergency

  1. Ensure Safety First: Keep everyone away from the damaged tree and any downed power lines. If lines are down, call your utility company immediately.
  2. Document the Damage: Take photos and videos of the tree, any damage to structures or vehicles, and the overall situation. This helps with insurance claims.
  3. Call Us: Call (540) 293-7726 to report your emergency. We'll gather information and dispatch a crew as quickly as possible.
  4. Contact Your Insurance: Report the damage to your homeowner's and/or auto insurance. They may send an adjuster or authorize work.
  5. Stay Clear: Until we arrive, stay away from the tree. Don't attempt to move debris or cut any portion of the tree yourself.

Power Line Safety

If a tree has fallen on power lines, stay away and call your utility company first. Even if lines look dead, they can be energized and deadly. We do not work on trees touching active power lines until the utility has de-energized or removed them. This is for everyone's safety.

Insurance & Documentation

We understand the stress of dealing with storm damage on top of insurance paperwork. We help by:

  • Documenting the situation with photos before, during, and after
  • Providing detailed invoices that insurance companies require
  • Working directly with adjusters when needed
  • Explaining what's typically covered and what isn't
  • Prioritizing making your property safe while respecting the claims process
