Myers Tree Service provides tree removal, tree trimming, stump grinding, emergency storm cleanup, brush clearing, and related tree care services in Bedford, Virginia and surrounding areas.

2. Estimates and Pricing

  • We provide free estimates for our services.
  • Estimates are based on information available at the time of assessment and may change if conditions differ.
  • Prices are subject to change based on actual work required, hidden conditions, or additional services requested.
  • Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

3. Service Agreement

By accepting our estimate and scheduling service, you agree that:

  • You are the property owner or have authorization from the owner to request tree services.
  • You will provide safe access to the work area.
  • You will disclose known hazards, underground utilities, and other relevant conditions.
  • Our crews may need to access neighboring properties (with permission) for certain jobs.

4. Property Access and Preparation

Prior to service, please:

  • Move vehicles, outdoor furniture, and other items from the work area.
  • Secure pets away from the work area.
  • Mark or identify any underground utilities, irrigation systems, or sensitive areas.
  • Ensure gates are unlocked if equipment access is needed.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations when possible.
  • Same-day cancellations may be subject to a trip charge.
  • Weather-related cancellations or rescheduling will be handled at no charge.

6. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements are made in writing.
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.
  • Large projects may require a deposit.
  • Past due accounts may be subject to collection fees and interest.

7. Insurance and Liability

Myers Tree Service maintains general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence. However, we are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing property conditions
  • Damage to underground utilities not properly marked
  • Normal settling or changes in grass/landscaping in work areas
  • Damage resulting from tree or stump conditions that could not be reasonably anticipated

8. Stump Grinding Specifics

For stump grinding services:

  • Grinding typically goes 6-12 inches below grade unless otherwise specified.
  • Wood chips/grindings are left on-site unless removal is arranged.
  • Some roots may remain beyond the grinding area and may produce sprouts.
  • Final grading and seeding are not included unless specified.

9. Cleanup

Our standard service includes removal of branches, debris, and major wood from the work area. We rake and clean the immediate work zone. Large trunk sections can be left as firewood, removed, or chipped per your preference.

10. Weather and Delays

Tree work is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to postpone or reschedule work due to unsafe conditions including rain, high winds, lightning, or extreme temperatures.

11. Emergency Services

Emergency services are available 24/7 for urgent situations. Emergency rates may differ from standard rates. We prioritize emergency calls based on safety risk.

12. Website Use

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Submit false information through our forms
  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute website content without permission
